According to Civil Aeronautics Board statistics, PSA ranked No. 1 among national carriers for scheduled flights completed last year.
During 1982, PSA completed 98.8 percent of its scheduled flights, which was a 0.9 percent improvement over the previous year and established a three-way tie with Piedmont Airlines and Texas International.
Among our competitors in the national carrier category, Southwest Airlines was sixth, having completed 98.3 percent of its scheduled flights last year - a 0.2 percent improvement over 1982.
Air Cal ranked eighth, completing 95.8 percent of its scheduled flights in 1982, which was an 0.3 percent drop from the previous year.
Among the major carriers, only Delta Air Lines and Western Airlines outperformed PSA. Each completed 99.1 percent of its scheduled flights during the year. |
